After playing some Guitar Hero III with Patricia, I mentioned to Chris that I was hungry but didn't have a plan for dinner. We proceeded to try to create a plan (which took a long while) and finally decided on using some Olive Garden gift cards.
We drove out to Olive Garden but when they said it would be 25 minutes (I know...that's not really that long), I went back out to the car and informed Chris that I didn't want to wait...I was hungry right then.
So, we got back in the car and drove down Route 7 perusing potential places (you like that, don't you?). We finally ended up at a Chinese placed called, Fortune. I wasn't 100% pleased, but we were hungry, Chris kind of wanted Chinese and we couldn't really seem to make a decision.
The first thing I noticed was that, unlike Olive Garden which was packed, this place was completely empty. I mean, it was a huge restaurant and other than one large Asian party dining, there was no one there. I really didn't want to stay, but Chris assured me it would be fine.
We ordered our food, all the while, me whispering to Chris about the weirdness of the place being totally empty on a Friday night. That's not a very convincing plug for a place to eat. The food wasn't that bad, but it was too late...I was already weirded out. Not only were there no customers, but there were like 50 people working there. Odd.
And when they had wrapped up our leftovers and we had paid the bill, we walked out...couldn't have been soon enough for me. And once in the car and driving away, we realized...we didn't even get fortune cookies. What kind of restaurant is named Fortune and withholds the fortune cookies? Let's guess where Lora won't be going back to eat?

Many of who know that I often say how much I love the 80s. There were some amazing fashion moments, great music and so much more.
A friend recently forwarded an e-mail to me, titled "You Know You Grew Up In the 80s, if..."
Thought I'd share a few of my favorite lines with you:
