So I had a doctor's appointment this morning after my blood pressure was all out of whack yesterday. My doctor has been monitoring my blood pressure for about six months now and it's finally gotten to the point that they've put me on medication. It's a small dose for now, but still another med to add to the list of pills I'll be taking for the rest of my life. I'm hoping that I'll actually feel better as a result. We'll see...

Hi Lora.
A friend of mine was talking of how his blood pressure was out of whack too. He saw the doctor and he too was prescribed medication which actually had to upped in dosage to get his blood pressure down.
The medication brought his pressure down, but just as with yourself, he has been told that he is on that medication for life.
As for feeling better. He has lost excess weight, his blood pressure has returned to normal and he looks very fit and well.
I hope this helps with any nagging thoughts you might have.
I'll mention you in prayer.
God Bless.
Eddie,
Thanks for the comment and the encouraging words. I knew it was a matter of time until I had to be on medication (my mom has had high blood pressure since she was younger than me). It's just one of those things you have to deal with in life.
I do cringe at the thought of another pill "for the rest of my life" but if it helps than that's what I need to do. I believe that God's hand is in medicine, too.
Thanks again...and I appreciate the prayers.
Lora
