It was either the day of my sinus/nose surgery or the following day that Chris brought Torin into our room so I could say goodnight to him (I was on some pretty good pain meds so some things are a little fuzzy). I said my normal goodnight and Torin responded by saying, "Bye, nose. Later." While laughing was indeed painful, it was impossible not to. Out of the mouths of babes, they say.
I was telling a colleague this yesterday and she shared how a friend of hers keeps track of the funny/cute/special things that her kids do and say and then sends it out to friends and family at the end of every year as a way of sharing what has happened throughout the year.
Hearing this challenged me because I don't usually take the time to write them down. I mean sometimes I tweet them, but my tweets won't be around in 15 or 20 years when I want to remember all the crazy and hysterical things Torin has said. I know I can't count on my memory.
So, I'm dusting off the old blog and am determined to keep better track of this stuff.
Here's to new starts.
